1. product features and uses
The normal temperature fast bonding of the conveyor belt joint is to use the normal temperature curing adhesive to bond the conveyor belt joint. Bonding without heating and pressure curing, no special equipment and tools, simple process, short operation time, low labor intensity, low cost, easy control of bonding quality, good bending resistance of bonding joints, no special requirements for the environment, the bonded joints can be put into use in a short time, suitable for the bonding of layer core conveyor belt joints in various environments.
This series of products have stable performance, fast curing speed at room temperature, high bonding strength, good bending resistance, acid, alkali, salt, oil, water and aging resistance, simple operation process and low cost. Widely used in iron and steel, metallurgy, thermal power plants, cement plants, fertilizer plants, ports, mines and other industries in the rapid bonding and repair of conveyor belts. When using normal temperature bonding, the process should pay attention to three points: First, the performance of the conveyor belt material to be glued and the operation and use of the conveyor should be understood. Correct selection of adhesives; Second, according to the structure of the conveyor belt and the components of the conveyor, the stress state, the reasonable design of the joint form and size, so that the bonding is firm, the production is convenient, and the joint has sufficient strength.
Third, it is necessary to operate strictly according to the normal temperature bonding process.
Bonding Technology of 2. Conveyor Belt Joint
Type of (I) joint
Stepped bevel single-sided lap.
(II) making tools
1.5P hand hammer, piercing screwdriver, nutcracker, steel ruler, tape measure, powder line, cutting tool, etc.
Determination of the number of stepped layers of (III) joints
According to the belt core structure of the conveyor belt and the stress state of the joint, the stress distribution is the most uniform when the number of joint steps is one step for each layer of belt core. In actual bonding, the number of steps is generally not more than 6, and the number of core layers per step is not more than 2. The length of each step is determined according to the total lap length of the joint and the number of steps, and the step length is generally between 60 and 166mm.
Calculation of Lap Length of (IV) Joints

G2
Where: L-lap length of joint, cm;G1-tensile strength of belt core of conveyor belt, kg/cm layer; (canvas is 56 kg/cm layer; Nylon, polyester and vinylon are all 96 kg/cm layers) n-number of belt core layers of conveyor belt; G2-adhesive shear strength, kg/cm2;K-safety factor, value 1.5-3.
Fabrication of (V) Conveyor Belt Joint
1. Scribing
Draw a line perpendicular to the center line at the two ends of the conveyor belt respectively, and then draw a point from the intersection point between the straight line and any side of the conveyor belt to the end with 1/2 bandwidth as the length, connecting the intersection point and the other intersection point between the straight line and the belt edge, that is, the oblique angle of the joint. Then calculate the lap length and determine the number of steps according to the formula.
The following points should be noted when drawing lines:
(1) The marking shall be based on one side of the conveyor belt to ensure that the benchmark is uniform and accurate.
(2) When determining the angle of the lap joint, ensure that the angle is uniform and the bevel angle of the upper and lower ends is consistent.
(3) When drawing lines, the conveyor belt should be kept flat, so as to ensure the straightness and accuracy of the points, so that the surface of the joint made is flat, and the angle and seam are consistent.
Conveyor belt joint production and bonding process
2. Cutting and stripping
According to the determined number of cutting layers, cut accurately according to the baseline. Strictly control the cutting depth, do not cut the bottom core, otherwise it will reduce the strength of the joint, and the cutting is too shallow to affect the peeling. Make the joint as shown in the figure.
3. Surface treatment
Commonly used conveyor belt is mainly composed of multi-layer chemical fiber or cotton fabric, rubber, due to the joint surface after the production of water, dust, oil and loose layer (such as residual rubber, etc.), the surface treatment should be carried out before bonding. The commonly used methods of surface treatment are:
(1) Mechanical rapping: Use a portable electric grinder to assemble a wire wheel for rapping to remove the glue attached to the surface. The roughening shall make the surface roughness of the belt core uniform, and the belt core shall not be damaged.
(2) cleaning, decontamination: cleaning should depend on the nature of the surface contaminants and the degree of pollution, the use of conveyor belt cleaning agent.
(3) dry operation: the joint surface through drying, so that the surface layer of water, cleaning agent volatile, while increasing the surface temperature, so conducive to the glue coating, leveling and penetration. Commonly used drying tools are: infrared lamp, iodine tungsten lamp, electric heating blower, etc.
(6) Conveyor belt joint bonding process
1. Preparation of glue liquid
The conveyor belt adhesive and curing agent according to the specified proportion of mixing and stirring. Glue preparation should be carried out after the joint is completely made. The mixed glue should be used up as soon as possible (within 1-2 hours) and should not be placed for a long time. Otherwise, the viscosity will increase due to crosslinking, which will affect the use and cause the glue to fail.
2. Gumming
The application of glue shall be carried out in three times. Each application of glue should be thin and uniform, so that the surface of the adherend is fully infiltrated and penetrated by the glue. After applying the glue once, it should be dried to non-sticky hands, and then apply the glue again.
3. Film drying
After brushing, the glue is dried to form a film under certain external temperature conditions: infrared lamp, iodine tungsten lamp or electric heating blower can be used to heat and dry the glue after each coating. By heating and drying, the work efficiency can be improved and the bonding joint can be ensured to have high bonding strength in the shortest curing time.
4. Bonding
When the last glue dries to the hands and feels sticky, it can be glued. When bonding, align the center line of the belt, align the two bonding surfaces at one time, and after bonding, hit it with a hammer from the middle to the surroundings.
5. Quality inspection and trimming
After the joint is bonded, the adhesive joint can be checked for bubbles or unbonded parts by pressing, knocking and other methods on site, and the adhesive joint can be checked for deflection and dislocation by center line alignment to prevent the deviation of the joint during operation. The adhesive joint can be checked for uneven edges, uneven joints and unbonded joints, and trimmed in time.
6. Curing
Bonded joints should be placed at room temperature curing to the specified time, must not be placed in a high temperature environment curing, usually at 40 ℃ below the best curing. If the conditions permit, the adhesive strength can be further improved by prolonging the curing time.
(VII) notes:
1, this series of adhesives contain organic solvents, low toxicity, storage and use, should pay attention to the environment ventilation.
2. If the glue becomes thick, it can be diluted by adding appropriate amount of special diluent.
3, glue do not contact with water, the surface of the adherend must be dry, otherwise it will affect the curing effect and bonding strength.
4, more than the storage period after inspection, can still be used
