1. Method of joint
The methods of conveyor belt joints are: mechanical joints, cold bonding joints, hot vulcanization joints and other commonly used methods.
Mechanical joints generally refer to the use of belt buckle joints. This joint method is convenient and economical, but the joints are low in efficiency and easy to damage, which has a certain impact on the service life of conveyor belt products. In the PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant antistatic conveyor belt joints, the general 8 grade belt below the products are used in this joint method.
Cold bond joints, that is, the use of cold-stick adhesive to carry out the joint. This joint method is more efficient than mechanical joints, but also more economical, should be able to have a better joint effect, but from a practical point of view, because the process conditions are more difficult to master, in addition to the quality of the adhesive on the joint is very large, so it is not very stable.
Heat curing joint, practice has proved to be the most ideal joint method, can ensure high joint efficiency, but also very stable, joint life is very long, easy to master. However, there are shortcomings such as troublesome process, high cost, and long joint operation time.
2. Joint of layered conveyor belt
Mechanical joints, cold bonding joints, hot vulcanization joints and other joint methods can be used as required. Generally, the cold bonding joint and the hot vulcanization joint are stepped structural joints.
3. Joints for PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant conveyor belts
Due to the special structure of the whole core belt, the joint is not easy, so most of the mechanical joint method, that is, the belt buckle joint. However, for tapes above grade 8, in order to ensure the joint effect, the method of hot vulcanization joint is generally adopted. The structure of the joint is a finger joint. PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant conveyor belt heat vulcanization joint process is more complex, the equipment requirements are relatively high.
4. Joint of steel wire rope core conveyor belt
The joint of the steel wire rope core conveyor belt is the most complicated of all the conveyor belt joint technology, not only the process is more complicated, but also the joint size parameters are the most.
