In the anti-seepage construction of composite geomembrane, to form a complete anti-seepage system, the connection between the side and the building is an important process in the anti-seepage project. At present, in the construction, the reserved edge adopts the joint method of film and film heat welding and non-woven fabric and non-woven fabric sewing. Due to the separation of the membrane and the cloth at the splice, the deformation of the two is not synchronized during tension. The measured joint tensile strength is only about 30% of the strength of the base material of the composite geomembrane, which cannot meet the technical requirement of not less than 80% of the strength of the base material in the application technical specification SL/T225-98. The welding quality of the membrane at the construction site is affected by many factors such as the thickness of the membrane, air temperature, wind, humidity, voltage, flatness of the cushion layer, whether the surface is clean or not, and there are local desuging and hole burning phenomena, especially the welding quality of the membrane below 0.3mm is very poor. The composite geomembrane and the building (concrete, pipeline, etc.) can not be connected by welding method. During anti-seepage construction on the basis of complex shape, due to the limited factory reserved edge connection of composite geomembrane, excessive wrinkling of composite geomembrane in laying will cause a large amount of waste of materials, and at the same time is not conducive to backfilling of the soil chamber. Too tight tensioning causes the composite geomembrane to hang in the air and is easy to burst, so the limitations and defects of the composite geomembrane welding method directly affect its anti-seepage quality and popularization and application.
